Intro to Letterpress Wedding Invitations
Intro to Letterpress Wedding Invitations
6 hour workshop | Cost: $230 all materials are included | Limited to 8 students
Join James Tucker, founder of The Aesthetic Union and 20 year letterpress veteran, as he guides you through how to design and print wedding invitations.
In this workshop, we will answer those burning letterpress invitation questions like:
What do I need to print?
How do I design efficiently, effectively, and beautifully?
What’s the best paper to use?
What are the standard sizes for invitation and envelopes?
When to send them out?
We will run through these questions, learn how to set up a file for photopolymer plates (bring your laptop!), and give an introduction to our Vandercook letterpress.
We will print three SAMPLES of a two color invitation and corresponding envelope return address.
Please note: this workshop will give you access to NBLA Open Studios ($25 an hour) so you can print your own wedding invitations. We will not be printing personal projects in class.
Sunday, March 16, 10am-4pm
