Something to say? Explore the history of letterpress and propaganda and protest posters, then design and print your own poster using our selection of large wood type and vintage cuts. Each student will print their own message and go home with posters to post and share. All materials provided. No experience necessary.

Please be conscious that cleanup and putting type away is every students responsibility, it does take time, and is part of the full letterpress experience.

James Lewis Tucker is a printmaker and poet. Before moving to Sonoma County, he founded and operated The Aesthetic Union, a letterpress printshop in San Francisco. He teaches at The Aesthetic Union, Sonoma Academy, and NBLA.
